Welcome to the NH Health WISDOM website. Developed and maintained by the Division of Public Health Services (DPHS), this site compiles information from many different datasets on hundreds of health related indicators. Health indicators can either inform or measure health choices at the community and individual level. NH Health WISDOM provides a portal for users to directly access these datasets, view and customize reports built from these datasets, and save their reports for later access.
The site is divided into two main components:
Data about health topics related to the State Health Improvement Plan
Data about Environmental Public Health Tracking (EPHT) topics and other State initiatives
Health Topics:
Users may choose to view data in a health category, such as asthma, cancer or tobacco use, or search data within available data sources. By selecting data in a health category, users have access to interactive dashboards. The dashboards contain key health indicators that are customizable to explore data more fully. For example, users may change measure, time period, geography, demographics as well as add data indicators. Each indicator will have up to three slides displaying the information 1) by trend showing changes from year to year, 2) by chart showing relative differences, and 3) by map showing geographical differences. Some indicators may only have one slide. Tables on each slide allow data to be exported from the portal.
EPHT Topics:
Users may also choose to view EPHT surveillance data on environmental hazards, exposures, and associated health effects. By selecting a tracking category, users have access to interactive dashboards that connect health and environmental factors. Similar to the health topic dashboards, EPHT dashboards contain key indicators that are customizable to explore data more fully, depict the data in various formats, and allow data to be exported.
